What I know for sure, at this point in my journey, is that God has always intended more for me, for us. And while my goal used to be surviving the things that hit me hard (there have been many), I am now focused and intent on reclaiming the kind of life that God designed for me from the beginning. Because before difficulty and pain, heartache and loss, devastation and disaster touched my life, God laid His hand upon me and fashioned something amazing. In the beginning, He laid out plans that, I am convinced, no amount of trouble in this world can thwart.
He did the same for you.
So welcome to the journey of discovering the “more” that God has for us. Often, we will discover pieces of it in the midst of the ruins, if we dare to enter in. Yet somehow, I know God will bring those pieces together and cause them to take the shape of something so beautiful, and so much more valuable than anything we can dream of. Won’t you, with me, take heart and agree to venture into the uncharted land of blessing, found in the midst of our adversities? God is waiting there, in the eye of your storm, with promises just waiting to be unwrapped. Here’s one for the road:
“You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.” Psalm 30:11-12
