Do you know why you’re here? Not here, as in reading this blog. I mean here, as in alive. Hopefully this blog will help connect you to the answer!
There is a harvest assigned to your life, which means there are people waiting for you to endure through your circumstances and processes, in order to bring a word of life to them, and set them free from hopelessness, discouragement, and even death. Because all of life without God is equal to death.
There are many people all around us, wandering aimlessly through life, trying to find their own way. But the Bible says that way leads only to death (Proverbs 14:12). We who have been encountered by the living God, and saved by His incredible love, have something the whole world needs!
Of course, that doesn’t mean we have it all together. If we did, we wouldn’t be here, sharing the needed encouragement of this blog!
The thing about life in a fallen world is that it’s messy. So, even while we’ve been saved, there are still processes we are going through. There will always be. And those processes are…well…hard, to say the least. So hard sometimes, that we can become convinced that the goal is just to survive. We can forget that we have seeds of life within us, which are meant for the world that isn’t yet saved.
Today I want to remind you that, while the Bible assures us God will do His part – He will be faithful to keep His promises, we have need of endurance, in order to see those promises. We need to remember that, though some days – maybe many – will be hard and even painful, we still have a purpose to fulfill: show and tell the world that Jesus loves them, too.
The good news is that God has given us His Spirit, and His Spirit in us provides the same endurance that Jesus has. His endurance carried Him through deep suffering, into death, and then beyond the grave into incredible glory. He will do the same in and through us, if we will yield our hearts to cooperate with Him.
No matter what you’re facing today, I want you to be encouraged by the truth that God is with you, and that He has purposed for something incredible to come out of every one of your processes and circumstances, so that you will have a story to tell the world. You are destined to break through every barrier in your path, so that you will carry the message of God’s amazing love and power to the people He will put in your path.
The thing about quitting is that, if you or I decided to give up, what happens to the lives God has assigned for us to share His love with? I can’t have your harvest, and you can’t have mine. Those lives have been entrusted to us by God, and He is waiting for us to lead them home. Of course, we can’t do that on our own.
That’s the beauty of the whole thing. We can’t save anybody. Only He can. But if we will endure, if we will hold on and trust that He is constantly holding onto us, then our lives and our stories will inject hope and faith into the hearts of the ones He has assigned to our path. Then He will have a place to pour out His grace and invite them into His family.
You might not think your life is that great. But God has great things planned through your life! Since He put you together in your mother’s womb, His dreams for you have always involved you overcoming, and people’s lives being changed because you did.
So Dear Woman of Breakthrough, please don’t give up. Don’t even think about it! Don’t give that consideration ANY room at your table, because your breakthrough will make room for so many others to be set free, too!
May you set your heart to endure, by the strength of God’s Spirit in you, and may you see the harvest of your life reaped in the appointed time. Don’t lose heart! He is faithful, and He will help you to press on through!
